Eclipse Financial Solutions is a local Independent Financial Advisers office based in Barnstaple, North Devon. Eclipse has three advisers, Kevin Bere, Martin Evans and Geoff Stubbings who have over 40 years of experience between them. They are supported by a personal assistant and two administration clerks.

Kevin Bere has lived in North Devon for most of his life. He entered the world of finance in the late 1980's. He was employed by a well known home service insurance company for nearly 10 years, he was then offered the job as a Client Adviser, but it was an environment that only offered advice in that company's product portfolio. Kevin has the Certificate of the Personal Financial Society with the Financial Planning Certificates 1, 2 and 3, the Mortgage Advice Qualification, the Certificage of Regulated General Insurance and Level 3 Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeER).

Martin Evans again has also lived in North Devon for most of his life. He too was employed by the same home service insurance company and this is where he and Kevin met first. Martin was very successful in advising his clients in general branch products, he then progressed on to advising his clients in Savings, Investments and Pensions. Martin also has the Certificate of the Personal Financial Society with the Financial Planning Certificates 1, 2 and 3 and the Mortgage Advice Qualification.

Geoff Stubbings has also been based in North Devon for a number of years, he first started advising clients in the 1980's and he also joined the same home service company as his colleagues but he left to join the world of bank finance in the late 1990's. Geoff has the Certificate of the Personal Financial Society with the Financial Planning Certificates 1, 2 and 3. Geoff also has the Chartered Insurance Institute level 3 certificate in Mortgage Advice and Level 3 Certificate in Regulated Equity Release (CeER).

Barry Mitchell has lived in North Devon all of his life. His financial services career started in 1991 when he joined a large well known Insurance company as an agent in the Bideford area. After five years he moved to the bank assurance sector, working in various branches across North Devon. He became very  successful, providing solutions for his clients in the areas of Mortgage, Protection, Pension and investment planning., Barry chose to progress his career by  joining Eclipse and become an Independent Financial advisor. Barry has the Certificate of the Personal Financial Society with the Financial Planning Certificates 1, 2 and 3, the Mortgage Advice Qualification and the Certificate for Long term care planning.

Eclipse Financial Solutions opened it doors at 68 Boutport Street in September 1999 by Kevin Bere. Since that date, "Eclipse" has been proud to offer "Independent Financial Advice" to their customers both at their Boutport Street office and in the comfort of their own homes.

Martin Evans joined Kevin in 2002 as an associate adviser, but they soon saw the benefit of joining forces, with Kevin's experience in the Mortgage market and Buildings and Content along with Martin's experience in Investments, Pensions and Savings, the company was formed.

The company has grown to such an extent that although it is still in the same building as before, it now extends across the whole first floor and occupies further office space on the second floor. They employ a full time personal assistant in reception and the services of their wives in administration and support roles. This allows Kevin and Martin to focus on their customers financial requirements and their companies growth.

In 2004, Kevin and Martin were joined by another familiar face in North Devon, that of Geoff Stubbings. With over 20 years in the industry, Geoff is well known locally, his specialty is that of building Investment Portfolios and Pension Planning. Ironically, all three men once worked for the same large home service assurance company before seeking the independent route.
